Oconto yacht-maker announces expansion

MIAMI - A yacht maker in northeast Wisconsin has gotten bigger. KCS International of Oconto said today it acquired all the assets of the sport-boat maker Azure. KCS made the announcement at the Miami International Boat Show in Florida.
The firm owns Cruisers Yachts and Rampage Sport-Fishing Yachts. And KCS says the new acquisition will let the firm produce a full array of vessels ranging from 18-feet to 56-feet.
Azure started sending its sport-boat production tooling facilities to Oconto earlier this month – and that process continues. The first new boat under the Cruisers Sports Series is due out in May or June.
