Crazy winter love

Ellsworth Middle School students shook off the effects of water in cold temperatures as they experienced one of the activities during the annual Multi-Disciplinary Day Tuesday. The students plunged hands and arms into a bucket of ice water to put nuts and bolts together underwater, feeling a loss of dexterity. The theme for this year’s special day was “Fall in Love with Winter” and it also included speakers such as Karin Bye, Olympics champion from River Falls, nature trail hikes, safety in building fires, sanitizing water, snowmobile safety, a medallion hunt, an eighth grade basketball game and hot chocolate refreshments.
