Schools get footballs from Fuel Up Play 60
The Fuel Up Play 60 Program provided Ellsworth schools with three autographed Green Bay Packer footballs from Jordy Nelson.
Fuel Up Play 60 is a national program supported by the National Football League (NFL) and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (WMMB). Its emphasis is to get students to move more and to eat healthier.
The prizes were used as incentives to get students more active. Ellsworth received this honor by first signing up all the schools to the program and then by having students become more active during the school day.
Activity ranged from after-school programs to fitness and weight room usage. The middle school had already received an autographed Tramon Williams jersey from the program.
The Pierce County Milk Marketing Board also provided life-size cut-outs of Jordy Nelson and Bucky Badger that were given to the students. Rita Houser is the Regional Program Manager for the WMMB and Fuel Up Play 60. Mary Brand is the Pierce County representative for the WMMB.
